Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By joining Ottawa City Roleplay (OCRP), using our verification system, or participating in our roleplay sessions, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services or participate in our community.

2. Account Linking

To participate in OCRP, you must link your Discord and Roblox accounts through our verification system. By doing so, you:

  • Consent to us storing your Discord ID, Roblox ID, and Roblox username
  • Confirm that both accounts belong to you
  • Agree to have your Discord nickname set to your Roblox username within our server
  • Understand that impersonating another user's identity is prohibited and will result in removal

3. Age Requirements

You must meet the minimum age requirements set by both Discord (13 years old, or the minimum age in your country) and Roblox (all ages with parental consent, or 13+ without) to use our services. OCRP does not independently verify your age but relies on your compliance with these platform-level requirements.

4. Community Rules

All members of OCRP are expected to:

  • Follow all rules posted in our Discord server
  • Maintain realistic and respectful roleplay conduct during sessions
  • Follow the chain of command within their department
  • Not exploit, hack, or abuse game mechanics in ER:LC during OCRP sessions
  • Not harass, discriminate against, or threaten other members
  • Comply with both Discord's and Roblox's Terms of Service at all times

5. Right to Ban or Remove

OCRP administrators and department leadership reserve the right to ban, kick, demote, or otherwise restrict any member at their discretion. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Violations of community rules
  • Disruptive behavior during roleplay sessions
  • Failure to meet department activity requirements
  • Conduct that negatively impacts the community

Moderation decisions are final. Appeals may be submitted through the Discord server if an appeals process is available.

6. Liability

OCRP is a volunteer-run community. We are not responsible for:

  • Any in-game actions, losses, or disputes that occur within ER:LC
  • Interactions between members outside of official OCRP channels
  • Downtime or unavailability of our services, Discord server, or the ER:LC game
  • Any damages resulting from the use of our verification system

7. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be announced in our Discord server. Continued participation in OCRP after changes are announced constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
